So there is a rumor of Gooch going to Madrid in the January transfer window. I think that he would make partner well with Canavaro and then Sergio Ramos can play his natural right back position. Do you guys think it would be a good move for Gooch to do this?

Hey Charlie Gooch can play for Real Madrid and Team USA because he is still US Citizen. The best example I can give you is that of the NBA players who play for a foreign team when it comes to the Olympics. So Gooch can play for Real Madrid and then play for the US in the World Cup. A team like Real Madrid has only 4 Spanish citizens who start for them and the rest are foreigners. So in the NBA players like Dirk Nowitzki and Tony Parker play for their club teams (Dallas Maverics and San Antonio Spurs) but when they play in the Olympics they play for Germany and France. Gooch currently plays in Europe for a team in Belguim called Standard Liege.
